University Workers Tell Federal Government To Prepare For An Indefinite Strike

During a recent press conference, the university workers duly represented by the following bodies; Non-Academic Staff Union (NASU) and The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) have made known to the Federal government that the government should prepare for a much more serious strike which is the “mother of all strikes” also known as an indefinite strike to take place soon.

They have also laid their complaints to the Federal government concerning their decision been made as a result of the failure of payment of earned allowance to workers by the government. The workers are currently on a 5-day strike but have made it known to the government that they would proceed to an indefinite strike, if nothing is done.

What could be the reason why the government has not paid allowances due to university workers?
